You can walk on the ocean floor when the tide is out from the back of the cabin - and a small museum next door. There are only 3 cabins and they were all occupied when we were there. A lovely young lady [Nancy] was there to greet us and give us an overview of everything. The views are awesome! We had our morning coffee sitting on the back porch overlooking a glorious day.

WOW! The first words out of our mouths when we opened the door to our cabin. This place is absolutely a paradise on the edge of the world. The cabins were spotless, beds are oh so comfortable and the sunsets are to die for. Our hosts were friendly, informative, accommodating and there with anything we may have needed. After only a couple of hours we were headed to the office to book a second night. Walking on the ocean floor was an incredible experience and we were thankful for our cabin when we were done. Word of advise bring some throw away shoes and socks for this, much easier than trying to clean that mud off of everything.

The cottage was exceptionally clean, spacious and well kept with all of the necessary hardware & utensils in the kitchen. The wifi was up when we got there but was down just a bit later due to weather. Although there were cooking utensils, be aware that you have to have everything needed to go camping. There was salt, pepper and some left over coffee from someone who stayed there before us - so that was nice. We went to a very small store to get some supplies but should have driven an extra 10 minutes to go to a bit larger store for better selection [and prices] to prepare our meals.

We stayed here for 2 days and it was great. The cottages were modern and clean. Your minutes away from the Bay of Fundy floor. It a very beautiful and relaxing place. Put this place on your bucket list .

Plenty of towels, soap & shampoo for bathing were available. The TV worked so that we could watch the football game!

This is a magical place. I feel sorry for those who only stay one night. When you want to hit the pause button on life & let the beautiful surroundings & your hosts, Blake & Nancy pamper you, this is the place to be. Walk the beach, watch the highest tides in the world come & go, rest while the sun sets into the bay and awake to the fresh ocean air! This place will sneak up on you & you'll come back wanting more. Not only does Shangri-La offer the simple life, the surrounding communities does as well......Walton to Kennetcook to Maitland.....you'll be amazed how easy it is to fill you day. Blake & Nancy are, by far, superb hosts and kind & generous. They make it very easy for you to settle in for your stay. Highly recommend the the longer the stay, the better it is!

Total surprise is all we can say. Driving up to go to burntcoat head park to do something while we waited for our cottage to be ready, drove right by the cabins. They are literally a stones throw away, overlooking the shoreline that we walk on when the tide is low. At first glance they appear simple old looking cabins, but when you go in wow..totally modernized and beautiful. Beds and pillows so comfortable. There is pretty much everything you need and if you require anything else, the owners Blake and Nancy will bend over backwards to help you out. Due to its location being a little off thearly beaten path, you should contemplate stopping for groceries or supplies prior to going. The next grocery store or NSLC is about 20 minutes away. You won't have a more peaceful, worry free time. The views are breathtaking. We will definitely be back again, but for longer.
